Tina: Well, it’s always been within me. I’ve had a deep love for fashion and makeup since I can remember. But it became more prominent about three years ago when I saw my daughter showing an interest in fashion and independence. I started posting simple reels, flaunting outfits, and sharing the products I use. It all began with friends and family liking my posts.

Q: Your daughter seems to be quite influenced by your fashion sense. How does she react to your fashion influencer journey?

Tina: Oh, she absolutely loves it! She’s seen me doing live sessions and often gives fashion advice herself. She takes pride in it, and her excitement is priceless. Recently, she even told my husband, “My mama is so fashionable!” It’s incredibly heartwarming.

Q: You were a product manager in a corporate job before venturing into fashion influencing. How did this transition happen?

Tina: I took baby steps. I believe in setting short-term goals and working towards them. I started with small fashion posts and reels. A friend who leads digital marketing at Flipkart noticed and suggested I try influencer marketing. I approached it with the same product management mindset, understanding and showcasing the products. Brands appreciated the effort, and that’s how it all started.

Q: Balancing a corporate job, being a fashion influencer, and family life must be challenging. How do you manage it all?

Tina: I’ve always believed in dressing appropriately for every occasion, whether it’s corporate life or events related to fashion influencing. Dressing respectfully is a way of showing appreciation to those who invite you. Balancing both worlds involves making the best use of my time and acknowledging feedback from close friends and family. I can’t thank them enough for their support.

Q: Was there a different reaction from your office, family, and friends after you gained fame as a fashion influencer?

Tina: Immediate family and close friends remain supportive and excited for me. However, some people’s reactions change. They might express surprise, sarcasm, or skepticism. But it’s the close ones who matter the most, and their feedback is invaluable for growth.

Q: Could you share your most successful post or reel on Instagram?

Tina: Recently, I collaborated with the brand Alba, a part of FICO, and a reel I created for them gained 2.4 million views and lots of likes. It’s been one of the best so far.

Q: What goes into preparing your Instagram reels and posts? Is there a lot of preparation involved?

Tina: Absolutely, there’s a lot of preparation. When we post a reel, it shapes people’s perceptions of us. I believe in staying hungry and staying foolish. You have to remember that people will judge you based on your content. It’s important to create content that resonates with your audience.
